Hello!

Can anyone tell me how much axial float are you running on your brake bobbins (the "bushings" connecting the rotor to the hub)

Hi Kaarli,

I am pretty sure there are posts on this tpoic already. I remember reading them. In 2007 I used 0.5mm axial float. My brake carrier was 5.5mm and my disc was 5mm so my bobbins were also flush with the brake carrier. I think 0.5 was too much, I will probably try for 0.3-0.4. I guess how much you need depends on the accuracy of your manufacturing processes.

Cheers

Thanks oz-olly, but what about radial float? Any guess anyone?

I think from memory I had 0.2mm. Have a search using the 'find' button though. This topic has definitely been discussed before.

Starting at 0.010" both axial and radial seemed to work out fairly well for us, the buttons wear in slightly after some use and probably opened up to ~0.015"
