Hi, im working on chassis and we have decided to go with space frame and i have no idea how to start with?
can anyone suggest me how to proceed
Read the rules would be a good start. Then read some bookes about the topic and the most important thing, so some research on your own. This forum is full of threads about this. If you get stuck on some particular problem everybody here will be glad to answer your question, but asking general questions like this won't lead you anywhere.

Jeevan, I hope for your sake that the caps lock key is broken on your keyboard.
The arrangements behind the driver vary a great deal.
They may play out into something like this:
A 500cc twin turbo engine, with a swing axle and a tiny rear wing for balance.
OR
Maybe no engine behind the driver (front wheel drive), a beam axle, and lots of batteries (electric).
The coolest arrangement behind the driver that I've seen is a turbo 4 cylinder engine with aerodynamic devices, relying a hell of a lot on mechanical grip at the rear. They had all their catch cans back there, the ECU, etc. Basically only the suspension and bodywork were ahead of the driver. It looked something like this:

Legality in FSAE may be an issue though.

yes , m coach i know tat it varies .. i asked wat's the most suitable or general arrangement!!
and i'm talking about a rear internal combustion engine .. if u know , kindly answer

Jeevan, can you get the Google search engine in your country? (Other search engines are available.)
If so, do a search on "Formula Student" or simply "FSAE". If you then hit the "Images" tab on the results page you will be presented with a dazzling array of rear end arrangements. Inspiration beyond your wildest dreams. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

See, now, there you go complicatin' it and all that; adding restrictions like, "the engine MUST be in the rear". Phooy! Says who?
That argument was thrown around a long time and one team had enough brains to say, "No, it doesn't." Know who that was? No, it wasn't Tata. It wasn't Ford. It was Mr. doodle-doo Panoz.
They ran one of them good ol' LMP racing cars with the engine in the front. They placed the driver onto of the rear axle, centrally located the engine, and put stars and stripes all up and down the bodywork. "It's all backwards!" Said the other teams. Well, the story goes that they had some reliability problems throughout the career of the vehicle, but it did manage to put BMW in it's place (2nd) behind the 'backwards' car. They won the championship.

Now, maybe it's just me, but almost nothing screams 'Murica louder than that car firin' all eight of those beautiful noise making cylinders.
So, assuming that the driver is sitting on the rear axle of the vehicle, with the engine located centrally in the vehicle just like the picture I attached, there shouldn't be a whole lt back there. Please, answer kindly if you disagree.

Not to distract from the purpose of this thread, but that Panoz is a beautiful piece of work.
It's a crowd favorite around here. Then again, it's amazing how far cars have come in only the past few years.

I don't think putting up a picture of a car with a longitudinally mounted V8 hooked up to a transaxle will help someone who is so new to FSAE.

Hey now. I'm the only one to have shown an FSAE car and not an LMP. It was just another mean to the same end of showing how ridiculous it is for us to do the job of google images.
