Ashwin,
The Australian event is called Formula SAE Australasia and is held in Melbourne in mid December each year. This year the event is being held between December 13th and 16th.
Registration for this event is already closed.
There are links on the front page of this site to all events, where you will find the registration dates and other information.

If you visit the Australian site at http://www.sae-a.com.au/fsae/index.htm you will find links to the rules and also to a section of Newsletters. I particularly draw your attention to the very first one where I wrote an article especially to help new teams like yours. Good luck and welcome to FSAE
