Thanks to a friend on the team I have and article from road and track here.
I am sure it probably isn't the full article, but it seems to be a good start.

Anyone else notice that Texas A&M has a rain tire on the left rear and a slick on the left rear?

What's the deal?

They weren't allowed to run that way in competition, but actually thier car was optimized for that setup.. Wink

Really, they had a puncture in thier rain tire on one of thier last R&T runs.

the article was rather dissapointing compared to the ones they have done previously. They listed the top two at the R&T event skipped us(3rd) and talked about UMR's aero. then made a reference to the doughnuts/burnout by saying, "Auburn and Akron might have benefited from extra grip, as both cars were keen on burning rubber." the article was hardly a page worth of info, but the spreadsheet that followed was nice.

I agree Chase. I also found it a bit annoying how they used up several sentences "explaining" why Cornell did not win. Tough luck for them...that's racing. I guess we can't really complain though, seeing how we are getting exposure in a national magazine. Our program being associated with R&T is good PR for ALL of the FSAE schools, and for that we should be thankful.

The first R&T article where we took home the trophy only had one little picture of us and had cornell as the main picture.

Go figure...
