Hey all,

You may have noticed the pics disappearing from the other thread, but now we have something even nicer for you to see...

We conducted our first shakedown today at Pooraka Minibike Track! After a small problem with a clutch cable, we got on track in the afternoon and bedded in bearings and such. It was such a relief to get this thing on the road with no problems (touch wood!).

Enjoy the pics! The last one actually reminds me of some of Helsinki's testing pics...

Well done guys, I am extremely jealous of you. You must have made a tremendous effort to get a car running by now. If it all goes well for you I think Adelaide will be a team to watch out for this year. I also like your engine mounts and attachment of rear suspension it looks awesome.

Cheers

that's nice work to be running this early. The car looks very small compared to last year as well, a lot less overhang at the front (I hate overhang!). After last year's performance, I'd say it looks like you'll have a shot at getting on the podium this year

Yeh it's much smaller than UARC06 - same wheelbase, a little smaller front and rear tracks, but overall the car will be about 400mm shorter (including nosecone). We've gained about 5% rear weight bias over last year's car too.

UARC06 was running on the 31st of August. Of course, we didn't run for two weeks after that, but point remains - these '07 guys are slipping!

He's right... we're behind! Oh well we're probably in about the same position as last year's team at the moment anyway. Damn exams will eat into testing time in a few weeks!
