So we don't have a baja team at our school (we do have to share space with the electric bus but thats a story for another day) but a few of us were killing time instead of doing homework and we came upon probably the best baja video ever.

It's pretty hilarious and has pretty much guaranteed that I never want to be within 50 miles of a baja competition for fear of losing my life.

As an ex-Baja member at UB, I can say those were the best times. Most of the those flips were from South Dakota in 07, where the organizers decided the track should bounce in and out of dry river beds. That meant 6 foot vertical drops into and out of the river beds. Broken tie rods and flips all over the place.

The picture of the Baja car hitting an actual car was part of our spirit week. Our SA buys a junk car and we all beat the crap out of it. The baja car made a nice sledge hammer.

My record was flipping twice end over end when I overshot a jump. Didn't get a concussion that time, but I was sore for a week.

You haven't fully tested you baja unless you endo and stall on the front end. Harness comes in handy on that one. That and driving through a few feet of water via the lake on campus.

Our Baja team last year.

One thing about a baja car is that unlike a formula car it needs no preparation or finesse to drive it.

Judging by the failed chassis and busted suspensions Baja has been deemed much safer than Formula.
