Special Notes:
• 7 teams have confirmed entry into the Shootout.
• There are still 4 openings available for non-Ontario teams to receive the $200 CDN towing stipend. (to be given out at event)
• Teams will have the opportunity to drive the full Mosport track in their FSAE vehicles during the noon hour.
• In part with the British Empire Motor Club there will be a free BBQ and award ceremony after the event.
• All FSAE vehicles will have to go through a tech inspection administered by the British Empire Motor Club.
• A fire extinguisher will have to be with your vehicle at all times.
• An ambulance will be on location at all times.

At last years’ event over 400 laps were run between 10 cars. We hope to exceed this amount once again.

Prizing:

Team Awards:
A minimum of three drivers per team will be required to participate in order for a team to be eligible for these awards. The best lap for each driver will be taken and then all three will be averaged to obtain the team time. If your team cannot bring 3 drivers to the event please notify me.

1st Place Team: $100 CDN + Set of Goodyear Tires (Goodyear will send you the set you request)
2nd Place Team: $100 CDN
3rd Place Team: $50 CDN

Individual Awards:
The driver who obtains the best lap for his/her team will receive the following

1st Overall: $150 SAE Gift Certificate
2nd Overall: $125 SAE Gift Certificate
3rd Overall: $100 SAE Gift Certificate
4th-6th Overall: $75 SAE Gift Certificate
7th-10th Overall: $50 SAE Gift Certificate

Special Awards
Andrew Wong’s Not As Impossible Trivia: Prize - $50 SAE Gift Certificate
The person with most correct answers will win this prize. If there is a tie, a tie breaking question will be used.

Teams’ Choice Favourite FSAE Vehicle: Prize - $50 SAE Gift Certificate
Teams will vote for their favourite FSAE car at the event.

SURPRISE AWARD: Prize - $50 SAE Gift Certificate

Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence: Prize - $50 SAE Gift Certificate
Judged by tech inspection team.

Quietest Car Award: Prize - $50 SAE Gift Certificate
Judged by tech inspection team using the same rules as for the noise test at competition.

Best Looking FSAE Vehicle - $50 SAE Gift Certificate
As decided by tech inspectors.

Hey Zanni, I just wanted to ask you about the hour on the full track. Will we be behind a pace car? I don't feel like losing any drivers on turn 8

Yes, for the hour on track we will be behind the pace car. Last year at the BEMC shootout we got the same opportunity. You can take pretty much all of the corners flat out anyway, except for turn 5 . But, if you really want some fun try to see if you can hitch a ride in the pace car.

The pace car last year was a red VW bug, base petrol engine, automatic...... It was fast and scary all the same as the driver was pushing quite hard. But it'd be more fun if it was something faster.....

Riding in the pace car was fun. Plus facing backwards while trying to film your car ups the excitement.
