Hey,
Any Canadian teams planning on attending the national championships? I believe it's being held in St. Pie de Bagot, Quebec ( about 40 min from Montreal). July 16-18.

That's in Sanair, right? Have you got a bit more info on the event? It could be interesting.

Yes, here is the website:
http://www.cadl.qc.ca/cnac/menu_e.html

It would be nice to compete against other fsae cars more than once a year.

Hopefully some of the other southern Ontario teams can make out to more local autocrosses with us this summer. I know we will be trying to attend as many WOSCA and PITL events as possible.

Ontario Solo2 site: www.solo2ontario.com

This event is open for US teams too.

Being part of the organising club, I can say we sure would like to see your teams compete at the 2004 CAC (Canadian Autoslalom Championship). A seperate class as been set aside for the Formula SAE, so you are more than welcome to participate. We have online registration set up, to ease the registration process. Don't ferget Saturday night Party.

If you have any questions you can contact me at fpruneau@jawfishracing.com

Sounds good, although the school bureaucrats don't seem very keen on letting us race around for insurance reasons. We'll try to work something out.

SWEEEEETTT

It could be great, I have an exam on the saturday morning, but I could be there on Saturday afternoon. How much it would cost for FSAE because last year, we went to Mecaglisse and for students, 40$ each for 4 laps was pretty expensive!!! Also, how many drivers is allowed per team.

Yoah, I just saw that it was 100$ for an inscription before june 1st inscription, I cannot afford this, we are going to England for FS 2004 and 100$ is way to much if it is by driver price!!

Hope Mr Pruneau can give us a discount or a special price!!

École Nationale d'aérotechnique will most probably take part in this autocross, and we hope that many FSAE teams will do it also!

Guy's call me Fred (not enough grey hair to be called Mr. Big Grin)

As for a discount unfortunetely it is not possible, I wish we could, this is an ASN sanctionned event. Keep in mind that all classes have trophies awarded according to the CNAC rules. On other hand your are welcomed to camp at the track for free. We (the organisers and some competitors) will camp on site, hence party...fireworks...fun..

As for the number of drivers per car: It is two drivers per car per class. I say per class because there is also a seperate ladies class.

Thanks Fred,

For us, we don't know if have the energy and time to come. It's sure this will be a lot of fun, but we have to simulate an enduro in order to finish our preparation for FS 2004. The car is bording the plane on the 1st of July and we've manage to find our problem on the skid-pad and dramatically improve our traction, but we have not yet test the car for the ''22km of death'' that an fsae car as to past to finish endurance. We sure look forward for another Solo 2 event, Mecaglisse could be interesting this year again with its Laguna Seca ''look alike'' sand dunes!!!

Have a good one!!!

Hi Jean Sebastien, yhea I know the timing isn't the best, Registration will be open Saturday Morning. Sectators are welcomed to attend the event.

On another note our webmaster changed the web address to better reflect the name of the event. Therefore I have corrected my link to the new address.

Thanks for setting up a class for fsae, Fred! Waterloo will be there for sure with atleast one car. Hope to see more competition there. 2 days of a-cross whould be pretty sweet.

If there are any Ontario teams out there who have difficulty with transportation but could otherwise make it, we can work something out since we can probably take up to 5 cars in our trailer.

Hey guys,

Formule SAE-Poly will be there for sure if the car gets back in time. If it's all goes well, the car should be back in Toronto for the friday and if all goes well in England, the car should be on the track on the Saturday Morning racing!!! (No major pieces to change or an engine to swap overnight!!)

Can't wait to battle with other FSAE cars.

Fred,

I noticed someone registered with #137. This is the umber that is on our car, and we can't change it because the paint would come with the stickers. I'd like to know if we can register with this number knowing that the person with the #137 is running a Subaru Impreza in a completly different class? Also, what should we do for the second driver's number? we can't really change the number between two runs...

Thanks

Hi Didier,

On one note, you will have to register in B-mod, since the FSAE will not be in their own class this year, but Trophies will be awarded to FSAE seperately (yup I'm confused too).

Regarding numbering; numbers are specific to your class i.e. B-mod, since no one has yet registered in B-mod all numbers are available so everything is fine. I've heard this weekend, that Concordia University might also be comming.

Well, I am already registered and I chose A-mod... Can you change it to B-mod then?

Thanks
