Hey,

What's everybody doing for accomodation this year? Is camping safe?

This is our rookie year, so all advice and information would be useful!

Because competition will be at a new location in 2008, nobody really knows what to do. As far as camping, it is definitely safe, but it may not be enjoyable, as weather in Michigan in May is not always cooperative.

I'm fairly certain we can't. Its in the posted event itinerary on the SAE website (not sure where right now with the new design).

Correct, there is no camping onsite at MIS. There are two designated camping areas within 1 mile of the track posted online along with hotel room blocks under the Accomodation link for FSAE at MIS: http://students.sae.org/competitions/formulaseries/fsae/hotelinfo.htm

We will be camping. Bring a grill, some coolers, and plastic bags to wear for socks, and we will be set.

Best,
Drew
