Any word if/when there will a West Coast Practice event this year?

From an email to FSAE West Tech Inspection volunteers:

...Saturday, May 10th SCCA Solo 1 autocross in the Fontana Raceway parking lot. Several FSAE teams will be bringing their cars out and we will set up a practice tech inspection as we plan to do it in June at the FSAE West event. This is a great opportunity to refamiliarize yourself with the rules, including the changes for 2008. We will send out additional info prior to the event but basically the gate opens at 6:30am, runs start at 9, and the course closes at 4:30pm. I expect we will try to start tech’ing around 7:30 and will likely be done in the early afternoon.

Bummer. 24 Hours of Lemons is that weekend. Oh well, there's always comp.

Cal Club Solo is once again hosting a practice event at Cal Speedway May 10th and 11th 2008.

Practice format?

Saturday Morning-
SCCA Tech Inspection
Acceleration, Skid Pad and Autocross Practice

Sunday Morning-
Formula Endurance Practice Event

A SOLO Autocross course will be set up and run during the afternoon of both days for both the formula cars and the track volunteers.

The afternoon sessions will give your team members exposure to the track environment, a chance to ride along with local auto-xers, work the course and see what your formula car looks like in action.

Site opens for you at 6:30 a.m. on both days.

There are already 7 formula entries so it should be a great event again this year
