Congrats to RMIT on the very convincing win...are there any photos anywhere? The RMIT FSAE website I can find through Google seems to be screwed up.

Good to see my hometown folk in Toronto placing a strong second too...goes to show it's very difficult to repeat as champions in any of the FSAE events these days...the competition just keeps on getting better every year.

Looking back on the results, RMIT really dominated the event, impressive work guys. At FSAE-A we finished 4th only 55 points behind 1st, and at FSAE 2nd through 4th were seperated by only 10 points, to see such a points spread is suprising (not discounting Cornells comfortable margin this year).

Only 12 cars of 54 scoring endurance points, what a shame.

And thanks to the person who sent pics directly. Much obliged - looks like a very nice car.

And agreed with Charlie, impressed with the consistently high results across all static and dynamic events. Any team that gets 900+ points in FSAE/FStudent/FSAE-A takes care of everything simultaneously, which is no small feat.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, we really appreciate it. I have to say that the most rewarding part of this comp is the respect and the good humour between competitors, both in person and on these forums. We have all had a great time attending the FStudent comp, made a lot of new friends, and can't wait to come back next year. Hopefully with a reserved position now, we might be able to make it to FSAE US next year too. Fingers crossed....

I must say that recently I've found myself overwhelmed with the standard of engineering talent found at a comp like this. Looking at cars like the Brunel car, Lulea, Delft, Toronto, Stralsund, Monash, Queensland, etc, it is obvious there are a lot of very smart people out there. I can't help thinking what we could achieve if we all put our heads together and started designing an F1 car, an F3 car, whatever. Food for thought.....

Most of our crew are returning to Melbourne this weekend. Once we are back we will get our butts into gear and update the website with photos, stories, tech stuff, whatever. Our apologies for being a little slack on this front, the attention was a little unexpected. Thanks for your patience.

All the best,
