Hi Ben,
What happened to you in autocross? Your relative performance looks down compared to East. I was secretly hoping you had the pace to knock those pesky singles off.
Well done though, awsome to see more USA teams travelling again and doing well too. Did you and Akron Share travel, accomodation etc?
Got any photos to post?

Pete.

Congrats RMIT!!

Jake, you've set a bloody good record throughout your time at RMIT FSAE. Maybe you should think about postgrad to keep an eye on things over the next few years, I'm sure Simon will be trying to persuade you....

Great news, looking forward to seeing some pics. I'm also looking forward to seeing some pics of Smeagle tanning up in Florida in his Hawaiian shirt and little umbrella cocktail in hand. Any chance Smeagle? C'mon, put one on for the crowd....

Top work to all the team, where to next?? Will be keen to see the hall of fame when I'm back that way in December.

Hey Pete:
We had what I believe was the 3rd fastest raw time in autocross but barely picked up a single cone on that run, which really knocked us back, very unfortunate.

Photos will be up soon, as I just have to get them from the other guys. We didn't share accomodation with Akron, as camped with the rest of the crazies in the mud of the areas around Silverstone. Not too sure if I'd go for that again there...just more of a hassle than it's worth.

Congrats to RMIT, the car is just hella fast...

Congratulations to RMIT - looking at the scores for Endurance, it must have been a great view to see the Delft car and the RMIT car going around the track Big Grin too bad I decided to stay at home this year, of all years :P

I'm sure it will be an interesting battle at FSG in August Smile

Thanks all... our results would have never been possible without the help and support from Loughborough University. Thanks so much for having us guys, and congratulations for the strong results especially in the Static events!

Congratulation to Delft, Stuttgart, Toronto and all the teams who participated... top job to everyone! Amazing performance from Stuttgart, considering its only their 2nd FSAE car ever! Definitely a name to look out for in future comps.

It has been great to catch-up with everyone from the team too... Jake, Ben, Brad, Leeroy, Matt, Steve, Paul, Dave, Elie... and Carrrly! You people rock! Hopefully we'll be able to meet-up again at the Oz Comp in December Smile

Once again, it was a great weekend... thanks to all!

Can anyone tell me what the weather was like at Silverstone on the Endurance day?

Any rain at all? There was some in Oxford and that's not far away...

Thanks, Ian

The weather was fair, damp at some points and rained a little bit but not enough to get the track far from just Dry and Damp.

Congradulations to all of the teams that participated, TUG Had a very well organized , beautifully made racecar, there engine sounded great as well. DUT was the most amazing competitors, because they helped us all night fixing our exhaust systems, once before the autocross and then the following night before the endurance, many thanks! RMITs car was a nice evolution from there FSAE EASt winning racecar, dynamically it was awesome to watch on track, at the start of the weekend Jake RMITs technical director seemed a little bit scared of the competition, but he really lead his team threw the weekend. Stutgard was a very motivated excellent team, they really impressed me with the fact that they are already so competitive with only two years of Fstudent experience, it was a great battle in the endurance against this team, last but not leats I think that the Croatian team in paddock 8 accomplished the most of any team this weekend, coming to comp with barely a frame and getting it through tech for sundays endurance and the finishing the race, good jobs to all the teams participating, I hope that we at ETS have finally shown that we are not only strong in design but fast on the track as well, good luck to everyone going to formula germany, i hope to see all you guys in FSAE EAST next year as the world championship is up for grabs,

Alright, here are some resized pictures, alot from our own car i'll have to admit but we were happy to finally see it in one piece. We got the rims on wednesday just before the comp and were late with the build due to lack of commitment and building experience, this beeing our first year car.

Lund University rear end, with its signature compressor

JPS F1 car, please update me on the year.

Chalmers beautiful car in the tech inspection queue

Helsinki, wonderful effort rebuilding the engine after sprint due to a breakdown and still made it to endurance

I think this is TU Braunschweig, mad fast in endurance.

Don't know the name of this team

Beautiful old cobra

KTH after some engine trouble

Lund front suspension and steering

Ah my first drive Smile

Nice ol' Bentley

Hetfordshire hydrogen car

Rear suspension of unknown car

Broken A-arms

Endurance layout

Luleå driver change

Inside the Luleå car

Rear suspension of the Luleå car, they we're right next to us in the garage and their car is simply stunning, they also supplied us with freshly brewed swedish coffee Big Grin

Some parts of our first gear came out with the oil...

Ferrari F1 car, availible to practise swift tirechanges on.

Rear end of said ferrari.

Hi BJ

You're only sore because you pitched your tent next to a bullfrog. Life was much more civilised inside the 70's retro-camper. If you come over next year call me and I'll get you one too. A 100 quid should sort it.

The grip on track was amazing. We achieved 1,75g lateral acceleration in the apex of corners. I think it is not wrong to keep that in mind for the next car's design process.

I attached a screenshot of our logged data. Y: lateral acceleration in g, X: time in milliseconds. The data show one corner with braking until the apex an accelerating after the apex
