I figured that I could start a new thread for all things Formula SAE 2006 (Detroit/Romeo/MPG). The one I started for FSAE 2005 worked well. Please use this thread instead of starting a bunch of new ones.

I can help host pictures if anyone needs it – just email them to me (see my profile).

So, please share if you have any information.

Good luck to everyone.

Oh right...
I should have made this a sticky – I forgot about that feature.
Thanks to whichever moderator did this for me.

I was unable to make to to Detroit this year because of finals. I can't wait to see what I'm missing.

I'm still working out finding a camera to use, but more than likely I'll have a hundred or so shots posted up Thurs eve.

This folder is empty right now, but will hopefully be filled with a few shots of each car, some more than others, by the end of the weekend.

Now its time for the first sleep in a real bed in a few days. 5 whole hours! I can't wait!

If you can, please post pics of the venue as well. Arrangements for paddocks, power, practice areas, etc.

I heard a rumor that within 15 minutes of UWA rolling out their car, the rest of the teams threw up their hands in disgust, gave up and left the competition. A few teams tried to take pictures of the UWA car but the "anti photography" paint developed in house over the last few months prevented anyone from getting any valuable information.

On top of that the car beat every single Ford car in every Ford test that has occured in the history of the Ford proving grounds.

I also heard that there was a judge that found something that he didn't like on the UWA car, but was promptly eaten alive by the car's drivetrain.

That's what I heard...

Your facts are way off base js10coastr.

The judge did like the part ... but not as much as he should have.

Not a virus. Not a cancer. Take a little responsibility, it’s a self inflected addiction. And I'm feeling withdrawal symptoms.

There might be about 15 shots in here, but I don't know because the upload stopped halfway through and now my image server isn't responding.

Also, you'll all be happy to know that I just picked up one of these about two hours ago...

I think we'll be safe in the picture department tomorrow. 12x optical zoom w/ image stabilization baby!

Is there an image host that doesn't condence the images down to nothing? I loaded them on Yahoo photo and am not sure how you can access the full size pics without printing them? Maybe I'm just an idiot and don't know how to use it.

Anyways, did anybody catch Lehigh's flex joints for thier suspension... I included a pic. I didn't have time to talk with them, so if anybody from Lehigh is on here, care to comment?

i wish i could have it bigger, but the host isnt letting me do the original image. I know the picture that i take is big since one picture is about 3MB.

But even if it was big, there's nothing interesting that you can see anyways. The first picture is UWA and the second is Penn State.

Here are some more pictures ...

this is a picture of penn state's rear and below is lehigh's car with CF a-arms ...

and below is oxford's car ...
