ASI R&D Automotive Shock Absorber Test Engineer


American Showa, Inc., a Tier 1 supplier to the automotive and motorcycle industries, has an immediate opening for a Test Engineer position in our Shock Absorber R&D department in Sunbury, OH.

Job Responsibilities Would Include:

"¢ Creating Test Plans and Test Reports
"¢ Performing durability and strength testing
"¢ Act as Customer Liaison for testing
"¢ Attend vehicle tuning events with Customer to adjust damper settings
"¢ Root Cause analysis for Development and Production issues
"¢ Building prototype components for testing


The ideal candidate will be motivated and self-driven and have the following qualities:
"¢ Experience performing durability/strength tests and summarizing judgments
"¢ Excellent communication skills
"¢ Ability to multitask many different projects
"¢ Hands on mechanical aptitude
"¢ Ability to read/understand technical drawings and specifications
"¢ Proficient in MS applications, including Excel, and Powerpoint
"¢ A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering is required

Beneficial Candidate Attributes:

"¢ Knowledge of Japanese Transplant Development Cycles (Honda experience a plus)
"¢ Automotive development experience preferred
"¢ 3D CAD Experience (Catia Experience a plus)
