We are looking for a PhD-student with great interest in tyre technology. It is a project on winter tyre friction and the main aim is to understand the mechanisms of friction between rubber and ice/snow/slush surfaces. The project is run in collaboration with tyre industry and automotive test centres in Northern Sweden. The research group at Lulea University of Technology is one of Europe's most important in tribology, i.e. the subject of friction and wear. By long practial experience we also know a lot about ice and snow!
