OVERVIEW:
• Design and develop valves for active/adaptive suspension systems in development, from concept through functional on-vehicle prototype. Systems include: adaptive damping, air suspension systems including active air system, and active roll control. o Develop concepts, create designs, perform engineering analysis, build prototypes for testing. • Work closely with Suspension System Engineers, Vehicle Dynamics and Controls group, tuning and developing system on-vehicle. • Interact with customers, suppliers, and team members to achieve program objectives. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Valve design, analysis and development o 2D & 3D design, modeling using AMESim and upfront CFD analysis • Work with test equipment and analyze test data • Develop FMEA’s and DVP’s • Author reports, create presentations and document intellectual property. • Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies that may improve operations. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Masters degree a plus. • 3 - 10 years experience in design and development of valves. • Experience in valve modeling. CFD and AMESim experience a plus. • Experience in CAD.
