Title: Mechanical Engineer

UEC Automation is currently seeking a Mechanical Designer.

Requirements for this position are:
• BSME
• Minimum of 7 years related experience
• Experienced in 2D and 3D CAD design software
• Experienced in machine, actuation, and manipulator designs for automated production and test systems
• Analytical capability including thermal, stress, vibration and tolerance analysis
• Experienced in failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) and risk analysis
• Ability to create technical specifications for mechanical designs
• Ability to lead the technical requirements of a project and guide other engineers/designers
• Strong communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with the customer

Preferred
• Experienced in AutoCAD and SolidWorks 2005
• Experienced in plastics – selection of materials, enclosure designs and injection molding
• Experience in sheet metal forming and coatings
