Composite Design Engineer:

Candidate will be responsible for designing advanced composite structures. Candidate will be a key member on composite development team. Also prepares composites/ materials / processes selection trade studies, support proposal activities and coordinate composite design activities with structural mechanics, thermal, materials and processes, manufacturing operations and / or supply chain.

 Knowledgeable of the following composite processes is preferred: hand lay-up, filament winding, VARTM/RTM, or fiber placement of polymer matrix composites. Should have knowledge of composites processing support equipment such as ovens, presses, autoclaves, pattern cutters, laser projection systems, filament winding machines, fiber placement machines, VARTM/RTM or other similar equipment. Design experience in composite tooling preferred.

"¢ BS or MS in Materials Science, Mechanical, Aerospace or Automotive Engineering with an emphasis on composites engineering


Senior Design Engineer:
"¢ Vehicle surface and component scanning.
"¢ CAD Surface development and manipulation from both scanned and parametric CAD data.
"¢ System and component design/development using parametric solids CAD modeling
"¢ Develop computational domains for CFD/FEA analysis.
"¢ Use automotive experience to add value to the customers engineering process
"¢ Prepare project status reports
"¢ Support and resolve customer problems using mechanical, analytical, CAE and project management skills.
