hey guys,

this is totally off formula discussion. But my brother bought a 92 nissan skyline GTR all wheel drive, 2.6L twin turbo. I am searching for the software needed to program the ecu, is this from a nissan dealer...or is there any way of getting a hold of it???

any info would be great!!!

thanks guys

Man, going through a dealer is going to be insane. Especially when most charge $80 for simple diagnostics. Isn't the car tuned already? Or are you retuning it because you swapped some stuff out? That, and you'll have grimy, underpaid, and curious mechanics that will drive the shit out of your car ("Hey, Bob got it to bounce of the the rev limiter for 5 minutes, now it's your turn"). I can't answer your question, but you'll probably find a lot of aftermarket places that have it if you google it. "Whoa! Jim chirped the tires in 5th from a dead stop."

I'd think that anystuff for a gtr would be really custom and real real expensive.

PS when are you coming over to windsor!!!

Second, nissan skyline's come equipped with programmable ECU's....so you can tune them, you just need the software....which i have yet to come across on the internet

I'm quite the 'GTRphile', but I have yet to come across any software that you're looking for. Have you considered looking into replacing the whole setup with something stand-alone from APEX'i or similar company?

many people use stuff like bikirom and daughterboards for tuning on a lot of the nissan ecu's (silvia and z32 tt), but im not so sure about the skyline. but if your brother has the money for a skyline, im sure he has the money for an aem ems as well.
