And start making a Solid Edge Model of an engine?

I'm starting to make a solid edge model of a Chevy 350 engine, starting with the bare block. Besides the tutorials, this would be my first solid edge design of anything (I've done basic drafting before using AutoCad 2000, and pencil/paper, but never in Solid Edge). Anybody have any dimensions to verify mine, or a model itself?

I'm going to use the model to to start designing a turbo system for my truck. All of the twin screw supercharger companies won't reply to me with pricing information, so screw 'em.

I'm going to take measurements of the flywheel and other stuff tonight, I'm going to put off the block for a little while since it's wrapped up in plastic in the barn and I'm being lazy right now.

I use Solid Edge everyday at work. Under no circumstances would I ever use that steamy pile in my free time. In fact, I would recommend in general against using Solid Edge whenever possible.

Hit up Solid Works for the free copies through their FSAE deal- it's a much better program.

Actually, I have considered modeling a Ford 302, for engine fitment.

But I haven't been bored enough to start. Usually the team will give me something productive if I start showing signs of free will.

Yeah, if I had a house that might be the situation for me. Living on campus takes away that distance excuse when not coming into the machine shop.
