Does anyone know how to include anodizing (or any plating process for that matter) in the cost report?

if it is for a part that you are making in house, you add it in to your process costing. you can be 'creative' and cost the process in-house, or you can add a line item for outsourced anodizing. If you are anodizing a purchased part, you enter the purchased part line item, then enter a manufacted part line item for "Modified Purchased Part" and then the cost of the process.

I've got a cost report online

obviously its AUS dollars

i think its a good "online" format

the judges liked the online format, but didn't like the actual written report

anyone care to give an opinion of it?

(the quotes are missing...i ran out of ftp space)

Formula SAE rules require the cost report be done in Excel. I guess its different in AU?

the rules state that

"the electronic BOM must be in excel"

which it is..

the "BILL OF MATERIALS" is 8 separate excel files

the BOM files also contain hyperlinks to 8 system summary pages, and 8 system "process sheets"

the process sheets have hyperlinks to quotes..

(the process sheets were required in previous years, but not anymore. We were advised that including process sheets shows diligence, and reduces the risk of judges questioning your costing)

The judges have the option of viewing only the BOM files, or the electronic report in full.

A "hardcopy" of the report (in a somewhat different form) is also supplied, as per the rules..
