I'm planning to write an SAE paper but wanted some advice from those who have written them before. I've read the stuff on the SAE website, but any other info or tips would be nice.

Post it here first, so we don't have to pay for it later on :-)

The SAE site goes over the process pretty well. If I had any advice I would say don't expect SAE to meet thier deadlines (if you are writing the paper for an event). Just be patient. And if you have diagrams take plenty of time to make sure they are readable in black and white or grayscale.

I might be able to help you with specific questions but there were no real suprises for me.
