I was wondering how people were going with finding out how the ignition coil is manufactured (our engine uses a stick type coil as I assume most motorbike engines do). I rang Denso Australia but got no help there as they are all made in japan. Any help would be most appreciated.

hey sam,
first i would buy one and cut it apart, so that at least you know what the parts look like, then checka t the patent office online, they usualy have details of what the different sections are called and sometimes how they are made.
