We just bought a full 4'x8' sheet of Alcore PAA-Core aluminum honeycomb.

The sheet is 7" thick and has the following properties:
0.0025" 5056 Aluminum
1/4" Cell Size
Crush Strength of 2.62 MPa (380 psi)
Density (5.2 lbs/ft^3)

Check out http://www.mcgillcorp.com/alcore/products.html for any more material specs or email us.

We're selling the honeycomb for $1.00 CAD/in^2 plus shipping from Ontario, Canada.

Our crash is 4.42" high by 7.87" wide and 6.3" long (just over minimum), which is about 35 square inches. Weighs in around 300 grams (0.66 lbs)

Any interested parties can email us at fsae@uwo.ca

Cheers

How will you test the material to satisfy impact rules?

Thanks,

Testing is not required, only proof through calculations. Testing is looked highly upon, however. You can find more information on this by searching the Open Discussion Forum.
