Through an exclusive partnership, Richmond Motorsports is now offering the Aprilia RXV, SXV, 4.5 and 5.5 engines at a reduced dealer cost to FSAE teams.

The crate engines will be made available for the following prices as of 4/29/2008:

SXV550 - $5,600 + shipping
SXV450 - $5,476 + shipping
RXV550 - $4,494 + shipping
RXV450 - $4,494 + shipping

The engines will be sold with no wiring harness or ECU. We are offering a 15% retail discount on parts for FSAE teams who purchase engines from Richmond Motorsports. The engines will be shipped in the factory Aprilia crates, approximate shipping weight is 100 lb. Lead time for engine shipping will be 2 weeks, however expedited shipping can be arranged if necessary.

For those that are curious, the 2007 engines (which were less expensive) have been discontinued by Aprilia, and thus we are only offering the 2008 models. Due to the decreasing value of the Dollar against the Euro, these prices listed are subject to change.

I'm on GT Motorsports and we purchased a SXV 550 from Richmond Motorsports just before the Detroit comp. I'd like to thank Richmond Motorsports, especially Andy, for making this purchase as smooth as possible for us. We were someone hesitant to make such a large purchase from a new company, but Andy is completely honest and we couldn't have asked for better service. We waited to the last minute to order the motor, but Andy came through for us and we received a spare motor in time for comp. This saved us, because we blew our first motor up on the dyno a couple of days before comp.

We went to Andy to get an RXV 550. Due to verious issues, it took awhile to get in. Richmond Motorsports proved helpful though, and offered some unsolicited help for the lengthy delay of our motor.
