What the difference between the two?

We don't care about the basket itself, we will only just keep the gear. Correct if i'm wrong, but I think the gear is identical for the F4 and the F4i.

Different basket, different gear, different pin, different cover, F4i has one more plate than the F4 clutch. Trans shaft is longer on the F4i.

You can swap the clutches but it causes some problems. I wouldn't recommmend it.

Yes the gears are different, the F4i has a wider gear. Still works, kinda. Not sure if the F4 would work in the F4i but the F4i fits in the F4 O.K.
