If you call around to the manufacturers of AL Honeycomb, you will probably find that you can get a "sample" or drop pieces for free. Normally the sample size is enough to build the attenuator. If the mfg. doesn't want to give anything for free, you can normally beg for a discount.

A little research goes a long way.
