Can .SLDPRT be open in Pro Engineer or CATIA?

If anyone with Solid Works can convert the Yamaha engine models to .IGS, I would be really glad.

Many thanks to the people involved with the server!!!

Tobbe,

You will have a heap of trouble opening .SLDPRT in ProE...not sure about Catia.
But for ProE your best bet is to use wireframe Igs, and try salvage whatever it comes out as.
In my experience, ProE and SolidWorks don't communicate too well

I just added models of the Cane Creek Double Barrel.
Thanks to Pontus from Lund University.

http://www.wwufsae.com/Shared_FSAE_CAD_Library/Suspension/

Is anyone willing to convert the files to a generic file format?
I'd like to include those as well. I'd do it but I can't open these.

I updated the Cane Creek DB file with an igs version of the assembly.

I also uploaded an Ohlins ST44 model.

Thanks again to Pontus for both of those.

I'm looking for models of some other mountainbike shocks. Specifically Fox Vanillas, Manitou Metels, and Marzocchi Roco. Any help here?

Nothing? I feel like there have to be some teams that have stepped outside the box for their shocks?

Hey out there... Question: what year is this? We're looking for 07-08 CAD model of the CBR600RR. If this isn't it, does any one know what the differences are???

Thanks to Superfast Matt McCoy and the University of Oklahoma for this.

Awesome! Alot of people will enjoy this. Very generous of OU!

I've added a model of the Aprilia SXV550 from Cardiff.
http://www.wwufsae.com/Shared_FSAE_CAD_Library/Engine/Engine_Models/Aprilia/
The one difference with this model: Cardiff has asked that, if you use it, you place a sponsor sticker on your car. The zip file has a .jpg with the logo.

It's a big point cloud that bogs down my computer. Maybe some of you will have better luck with it.

Thanks to Dave Murray at Cardiff for contributing.

Does anyone have a 3D model of the Yamaha WR450F motor. I see a few requests for it on this thread. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could point me in the direction of one.

Thanks
Alex

As a side note, I think it would be beneficial to have a place to upload useful excel spreadsheets too. Sometimes those can be even more valuable than CAD models IMO.

Pennyman, excellent idea. Google documents would probably be the easiest way to set that up, but that assumes that all the spreadsheets just use basic multiplication/addition formula - I'm not sure how google doc's go with graphs and anything half intensive.

A place to store pdf reports and documents would also be something useful - the catch all solution to this is shared ftp space somewhere, but that comes at a cost.

I can host Excel and pdf files in the same place as the CAD library.

I'd start off with it all in the same directory.
Brake spreadsheets go in the same place as brake CAD files.
If there is sufficient demand, I could eventually separate it out.

Start sending them and I'll put them up.

Are the models for the Yamaha R6 motors still flawed in terms of mounting points, etc.?

And if they are, does anyone know where else we might find R6 engine models?
