I've started some of the initial planning for our engine program here, but otherwise I am still recovering. Right now the priority is get the old car in tip top shape and do some data gathering.

We could probably built our new car and then build a ba-ha car before the actual ba-ha team manages to build one... Just sayin.

We are currently choosing our tires our engine. We've finished our suspension design and are now moving on to chassis design.

We'll probably go back and iterate the suspension once we've chosen our tires. We've got a lot of work to do....

Some updates from AMZ at ETH Zürich:

We have started the manufacturing phase of umbrail, our 2012 car about a month ago and things are going quite well. We are posting pictures on our facebook page (amzracing) as we have new parts coming. A newsletter presenting the design of umbrail with some renderings should be out in mid february.

Also we registred for 4 Events this year:
- FS UK
- FS Austria
- FSE Germany
- FS Spain

Good question Matthew =) Yes we do. But we find lectures quite boring so alot of guys work on FSAE =). At the moment we have "exams" so things are going a bit slower!

Hi Alex,
the new car looks awesome and I really like you being that open with your design. It will hopefully inspire other electric teams.
I hardly can't wait to see electric cars with aero using the full potential of their torque characteristics to blast through the cones.
