Hi...

I´m from Venezuela and I am a new member of the Universidad Simon Bolívar Team. I want to Know about Thermal treatment in F-SAE car.

have some team used Thermal treatment in pieces of aluminium or Steel?...

Gotta be more specific.

We heat treat our A-arms and uprights to Rockwell 30 spec.

Firstly excuse me for my English.....

Vinhonda... What Kind of heat treatment did you use whit the A-arms and uprights?

I would like to Know is if you all use heat treat in the construction of the Chasis., because the mechanical proprieties, since I know, change whit the welding. Please inform me about the heat treatment in aluminum pieces (like precipitation treated, solution treated) to better the mechanical properties..... also let me Know the pieces, in the Formula SAE Cars, that you have used heat treatment, and what is the procedure...
