I always blanchard grind our rotors after CNC'ing the profile. Way better than any other method I have found.
We use nodular iron, from http://www.dura-bar.com/index.cfm. |

"Russian style": Is that the same way Sukhoi and MiG make their fighter jets?

Hmm, that's a different story. There is no doubt that russian technology can be / is really high-end in many areas!
I don't know the acutal origin but over here "russian style" is somehow linked to repairing tactics conducted with a foot kick or a large hammer. Seeing the russian cosmonaut in Armageddon repairing the MIR rather supports that stereotype though DART Racing e.V., Darmstadt Alumni Technical Director Suspension & Brakes 2005-2007 Brake System Developer 2005 - 2008 CFRP Rim Specialist 2008 Test Team and Driver 2005-2009 Adding power makes you faster on the straights. Ever get your hands on any Russian rifles? Those look like they were engineered with a foot kick and a large hammer.

I'm pretty sure any time I hammer furiously it's accompanied by me yelling "This is how we fix things on RUSSIAN SPACE STATION!"
