Does anyone know of a place online where I can download a human body model in inventor format?

If your school has Catia, you can make one easily, and export it.

If Inventor can import parasolids, try http://www.zxys.com/swparts/
Check out "james x_t" at the top of the "contributions" section. You'll have to slice him up into moveable parts. You might be able to make the other models work, but I don't know anything about inventor. Alumni, University of Washington Structural / Mechanical Engineer, Blue Origin |

You can download a good one here(go to the bottom of the page). Unfortunately, it is in solidworks 2004 format. You'll just need to export into an Inventor file.

In case anyone finds this string through a search I wanted to add that you can open Solidworks files directly in Inventor.
To do this simply change your file type to Solidworks in the Open file dialog box. This is a great asset if you're moving from Solidworks to Inventor Thom Tremblay thom.tremblay@autodesk.com Mechanical Engineering Solutions Specialist Strategic Universities team Autodesk Global Education |
