Who is this?
You don't look as fast as you should be. Problems?
What a retarded announcer.
He tries to talk about jets that they paid for, but he doesn't even know what kind they are. That happens towards the middle if you want to hear him fumble words together.

I'm a big fan of the Cincinnati car, it's a well-engineered and good looking vehicle!

haha, I just found this thread.

Yea, thats Cincinnati, more particularly that is me driving. Thanks for the compliments guys, it means a lot. Smile

Now, to talk about why the car looks slow, there are a few reasons.
1. That video is from my very first run of the morning, which was in the morning heat. Cold tires and cold track (also wet, it had rained early, and was still wet(( you can hear the girl saying "hey its raining on me"))).

2.VERY dirty track, which resulted in ZERO traction. If you watch the car close you can see all the dust, dirt, and small rocks we were kicking up.

3. I was the one behind the wheel. I am a decent driver I like to think, but I am a solid 2+ seconds slower than our fastest driver. (6'4" and 200lbs dont help, but no excuse there, just not as skilled I guess, lol)

Again, I really appreciate the compliments, all of us involved in FSAE put a large majority of our lives into it, and of course it is nice to here compliments like that to know the work was worth it!

PS, is anyone else auto-xing this summer?

PSS, yea the announcers are just other drivers at the event typically, so their knowledge is pretty lacking...

Oh H22, 2+ sec, isn't it more like 6+ sec. Hahaha. I got the biggest laugh from the link title. Problems? No, just Dave at the wheel.

The announcer isn't too bad. He hadn't seen an FSAE car before the event and basically thought it was an oversized kart, which explains the "no suspension" comment. He's got a sick track prepped '89 911 with a 3.6 motor, 30/32 mm torsion bars, and a bunch of other trick track pieces.

But back to H22, he had to go and break the car on the 4th run of 6 and cost us FTD, but to his credit even with only 4 runs he still mananged 3rd in class.

With love,

hahaha

you bastard, NO, I dont mean 6+ seconds, that would be Thomas. Also, you broke the car just as much as I did. (besides, I do have one win against you at an autoX [even if it was only because you broke the car on track])

and yes, the announcers car was definately gorgeous.
